Our Year 6 pupils reflected on and responded to the Black Live Matter movement thereby demonstrating their own courageous advocacy.

A Fantastic Farewell  for Year 6 2020

Jon undertook the diocesan virtual pilgrimage and produced this beautiful work on the nature of true and authentic value.

Last week on Home Learning we were looking at significant people, Archie made a lovely  tall Queen complete with red heart necklace and Freddie made the short King with a 'z' tie. Don't they look grand!

The Year sixes, who are going to Whitstone, got to meet their future Headteacher Mr Swallow and ask him questions.

Year Sixes going to The Blue School met with Mr Jennings and got the opportunity to ask him questions about their new school.

Alfie would like to dedicate the song to his fellow Year 6. Please practise this for your Leavers Gathering on Friday 10th July.

Herbie has made a wonderful clock and added all the numbers himself. He has also been practising  and  writing out lots of words. Well done, Herbie.

Alban has been researching Woden, the king of the Anglo-Saxon gods. His sacred animals were two wolves and a raven.

Alban, Sonny and Herbie took part in an online art lesson and drew some beautiful owls.

Alban has made a string telephone and had a go with it in the garden with Herbie - it worked! He also describe the science behind the experiment

Sonny's has been really creative with his Home Learning. His still life oil painting is really detailed and his Good Samaritan story is clearly sequenced. Well done. Sonny.

Marina has worked really hard researching Eostre, the Anglo-Saxon Goddess of spring and has been busy in her garden planting some beautiful flowers.

Elsie has successfully grown some strawberries and tasted the first one today (5th June).  Yummy!  

Elsie has been walking the dog at Harridge Woods this morning (2nd June)  before it got too hot! She has been  enjoying making a dam like the beavers on BBC's Spring Watch! 

Elsie has been very creative making a lovely picture from fallen leaves and twigs. 

Have a look at Matthew's dry stone wall. What a  great skill! He has also been growing potatoes and 'Boogie peas'. 

The Pearces took part in the world record attempt for the biggest online art class with illustrator Rob Biddulf today. (May 21st) 36000 people took part and it looks like a new world record was set! If you look on www.robbiddulf.com he has lots of really good child (and adult!) friendly turorials, new ones are posted every Tuesday and Thursday. 

Olive has been keeping fit doing yoga with her Aunt twice a week over facetime. She is loving it! 

Herbie has a new pet tortoise to care for, so he drew a fantastic picture of it.

He has also been busy writing a postcard to Grandma. What a lovely thought, Herbie!

She is also growing raspberries, apples, carrots, peas, tomatoes, pepper, cucumbers and cabbages.

Sonny has been building dens and tents using a  variety of resources. They look great places to relax and read a book in! Great work, Sonny.

Calla has been studying bluebells today (6th May )  and drew this lovely picture. Beautiful!

They  have been watching great tits fly in and out so today ( 5th May)  they have all found some facts on great tits and made a poster. Alfie drew some lovely pictures and they all coloured one in. Super fact finding from them all. Great work!

Alfie has finished his work so has asked if he can help his little brother Freddie with his maths. Very helpful Alfie.

Marina has up-cycled her clothes and produced her own design and she has  created a lovely picture of her perfect view. Excellent uses of colours and blending.

Today’s photo lesson was on composition. Jon took these beautiful photos during his  daily exercise this morning near Bowlish.

Sonny has been working really hard on his maths and writing. He has also found time to explore nature through bush craft and is observing and identifying lots of bird species. Have a look at his  angler fish poster, set of instructions for a teepee and his persuasive writing on Oceans.

Herbie made this brilliant aeroplane out of wood and painted it all  by himself. Amazing Herbie, very creative. 

Jessica completed a chalk image of a jelly fish and has written some great persuasive writing about protecting our oceans. Well done Jessica!

Jon is  doing a photography course on YouTube.  This is him using a  digital SLR camera and putting things into practice. Great work, Jon. It is great you are learning a new skill.

Oscar has been having a go at Rob  Biddulph tutorials online  during Home Learning and is really enjoying finding his creative side. Great work, Oscar!

This family tree was designed by a child in Year R during Home Learning Week 1. This amazing tree has leaves made from paper with family members  written on and a lovely coloured in  trunk  using felt tip pens. The leaves have been painted on and look so real. Such a beautiful memory to keep forever. 

This beautiful dandelion heart was made during home learning by a girl in Yr R. Isn't it a lovely idea?

On Wednesday 4th October, Conkers class had a busy day exploring Wells Cathedral and learning about the construction of this amazing structure.

Conkers class have spent two afternoons working with Laura Miller from the Citizens Advice Bureau learning about Financial Capability.

On Wednesday 25th May 2016, Conkers class had the chance to see a working dairy farm in action when they visited Mead Farm in Latcham near Wedmore.
