Croscombe & Stoke St Michael Primary Federation
Special Educational Needs and Disability
Mrs Emma Asfaw - Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator.
Croscombe and Stoke St Michael Primary Federation are inclusive schools and seek to ensure that all children receive an entitlement to equal opportunities, experiences and respect, regardless of their culture, gender, ability or additional need.
Children may have a requirement to receive extra help during their time in school. This can be considered as a Special Educational Need and may fit within one of four categories:
- communication and interaction
- cognition and learning
- social, emotional and mental health
- sensory and/or physical
Our federation feeds into the Somerset Local Offer. This can be accessed in full from https://choices.somerset.gov.uk/025/local-offer/
We sometimes receive SEND newsletters full of useful information for parents which we append below. There is also a wealth of information available from this Somerset Choices Website.
You can access past editions of the SEND Newsletter here.
Advice is available for all parents in Somerset through Somerset SENDIAS (Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support): SENDIAS
You will also find below a link to our Policies page, which contains our SEND and Accessibility Policy, our Useful Documents page containing SEN reports for both schools, plus a useful information sheet.
