Rural Life Museum Trip

Oaks class trip to the Rural Life Museum!

Oaks Class had a wonderful day learning about the rich Anglo-Saxon history of Wessex! During the morning they re-enacted the Battle of Edington between King Alfred and the Viking Guthrum, painted replicas of the famous King Alfred Jewel and made their own rune stones from clay.

After lunch, they explored the orchard and then went on a self-guided trail around the museum discovering the rural heritage of Somerset.

They were a credit to the school and it was a great learning experience for them all! Well done Oak Class!
