Oaks children become chef's for the day!
Oaks had a great time this week learning how to make Pesto Pasta and using knives and graters safely.
They worked in groups to chop garlic and basil, crush pine nuts, add parmesan cheese, lemon juice and oil before mixing with the cooked pasta. They tasted the finished dish and commented on the strength of flavours.
We discussed how to improve the texture by using a garlic crusher or blender.
