African Masks
Acorns children designing their very own African Mask!
Acorn Class have an art afternoon each Tuesday and this week the theme was African masks.
The children looked at examples of real African masks and then designed their own. They painted paper plates and decorated them with cut out colourful shapes to replicate the effect of the real masks.
In recent art and craft afternoons the children have also tried block printing using cut out potato shapes and made thumb and coil pots.
